Madden Review

I did in fact settle on a B-.

A few things to consider here. I don't think there is any saving franchise mode this year; that will take a complete redesign and a complete rewriting of the AI so screaming for a patch for franchise mode is a waste of breath and forum finger cells. Let's hope that next year Madden brings this feature home. I don't think it needs to be Head Coach 09 mixed with Madden. Just cut out the dumb stuff. It's not about complexity with Madden's franchise mode -- it's about the AI teams acting rationally. Sometimes simpler is better.

If EA does in fact patch in the CPU sliders (and they work...) then I'd boost this grade to a solid B. Patch the AI game decision making and the out of bounds stuff and you're flirting with a B+.

We'll just have to wait and see.
