E3

One of the best if not THE best E3's I have ever had. Not because of the games so much as the people. The GameShark writing team that made the trip absolutely made the show ...fun.

I have lots to write about and I'll get into that later, but I truly had a wonderful time.

I also really liked Madden.

A lot.

Glad you had a good time!

I'm pretty anxious to hear about Madden. I've got a better feeling about it than I have for years. One of my big gripes last season was that the game just felt unnaturally fast. The footage I have seen so far looks like they have really toned that down. Also, the work they have down on the line play and tackling seems to be paying off in spades.

It's starting to look like it may be moving closer to the 2K style. It's not something I ever thought I would see, as they seemed to sell plenty of games doing it the way they have before. It's almost like coming up with New Coke. Does it matter if it is better, if you risk alienating your core?

Well, if you had already put Pepsi out of business, I guess it is a acceptable risk.
