Facebook

Last week my boss mandated that we all generate Facebook accounts so we can all learn a bit more about this whole social networking phenomena. I've purposely ignored the existence of all such "utilities" for the past few years, but having used it for a week I can understand why people can get into it. Anyway, if you're a friend of the blog feel free to become a Facebook friend of mine. Just send an invite to Todd Brakke.

Guess who else is on facebook. Scott basin, Dave Murray, Matt Chicoine. I did a search for our high school and those came up, plus some others.

Like you I had resisted the whole genre until a couple weeks ago when a friend of mine from England asked if I was on it. It's not without merit. Now I have to actually make a profile.

Yeah, I saw some of those guys on there when I filled out the education section. Didn't send them friend invites, though. Seemed weird to do that with people I've not seen or spoken to in 15 years.

I have a rule that no one over 30 should be on either Face Book or MySpace. I am, however, a crusty, old hermit, so I'm somewhat biased.

Tell it to my boss. :)

Besides, I'm not that far over 30.

I got snookered into it by some fellow at Capcom who tricked me into it. It is a fun little diversion :)
