No suction blocking? Hope that's true.

It's great that NHL is getting physics engine (and curious about NBA Elite too). But anyone remember that EA demo'd the Fight Night physics engine at the unveiling of the PS3 in what, E3 2006?

Better late than never I guess and certainly more than I would have expected from EA. Well EA Tiburon. EA Vancouver has been pushing the envelope fairly well, maybe coincidentally because the games they develop have direct competition.

Doesn't sound like FIFA has as many changes. Actually, it's not always easy to pass with accuracy. There are times when you can't pass to exactly the player who's in space. It would be nice to have an alternate passing system as an option. Back in the PS2 days, they featured the shoulder buttons and used that for icon-passing schemes in all sports games. But in this generation, they're emphasizing the right-stick, which is harder to use with precision sometimes when you're in the middle of the action.

Pretty bullish writeup, looking forward to seeing first-hand.

So are we going to hear some NCAA football thoughts? Kotaku already has its review, which is why I ask.

EA has yet to send me a copy.

I'll talk about it when I get it which I suspect will be Monday.
