Jumping the Shark Podcast Now Live

Ok so while we work out some iTunes kinks you can listen to the first GameShark podcast here. (RSS Feed link)

It's 75 minutes you will never get back.

Actually Todd did a GREAT job producing this. Well done, sir -- and for a first show I thought it went remarkably well. Subscribe to the show folks! And we'll have another ready next Monday.

Great first podcast! I'm looking forward to more of them, as this will make a nice addition to the Conference Call from GWJ, and the good ol' Drunken Gamers.

I have to admit that BF: Bad Company 2 would have to make my list of upcoming games. I'm enjoying the heck out of the first one right now. I am a little afraid that they are going to Call of Dutyize the game, and emphasize the multiplayer more.

Otherwise, Deus Ex 3, if it is really going to make it would be at the top of my list. I've never partaken of Mass Effect. does it scratch a Deus Ex itch. I never got that impression until listening to you guys.

My wife has been playing Lego Batman and Indiana Jones like mad. so the new Harry Potter version will be a day one purchase. I think the magic could create some fun gameplay elements. So far, the devs for that game really have found ways to make each franchise a little different, while maintainable the fun and light storytelling aspect of the series. The ability to poke fun at itself makes each of them fun enough to play, even if you've been Lego'd out.

Glad you enjoyed it! I would be shocked (SHOCKED!) to see Deux Ex 3 this year, but if it did, I'm all over it.

I would say ME2 is *not* like Deus Ex. I think the missions should have been, but the ME2 missions are strict point A to B with no variation in how you go about doing it.

That said, I finished ME2 last night and some gameplay deficiencies aside, it is a great, great game.

Pro Tip: If you are gonna talk about games that are a couple months old and include spoilers, let us know.

If I somehow ruined the ridiculous ending to AC2 by telling you that you get into a street brawl with the Pope..my bad.

LOL Bill, you didn't "ruin" it, but I like to be surprised. :)

No -- I really do mean my bad. I didnt even think about that...I was just on a roll!

That's ok, you are forgiven. BTW, there were several popes who were right bastards so the concept isn't a huge stretch.
