I guess it is kind of a dick move, but he has a point. I think college players deserve a lot more cash for what they produce for the schools they play for.

A student with some serious math and science skills can get a scholarship and a job doing research for the university, but an athlete is not allowed the same benefit.

If the NCAA treated its players fairly, kids wouldn't resort to these kinds of lawsuits. But the NCAA has no interest in sharing the mega revenues they earn with the players.

That is a very different debate, though.

Ask me if players should get paid -- I say yes. Absolutely.

I'm even in the camp that says a kid should be allowed to major in football (or baseball, or whatever). That is much better than the completely bogus degrees you see -- like Michigan's Kinesiology major and the Criminal Justice major at OSU.

Back in the day you'd see 40% of the players at UM majoring in that -- and just as many OSU players studying apparently to be on Law and Order.

The kids get a free education -- THAT'S THE DEAL. Is it fair? No, they should get more for what they bring in, IMO, but the NCAA and EA aren't doing anything illegal here.
