So...

I watched my father get Baptized and my launch Xbox 360 finally died with the infamous Red Ring.

What did you do this weekend?

Playing Demon's Souls on PS3. Very nice, hard-core, old-school action RPG. Anxiously awaiting Uncharted 2, FIFA and Borderlands.

My 360 died Friday night. I picked up an Arcade unit, with HDMI, and I feel like I am better off for it. I'm $200 lighter in the wallet, but my new 360 is quieter, freed up one of my component video slots for my Wii, and is hopefully much less likely to die.

Otherwise, On Saturday I went to a bar and watched KU escape with a win over Iowa St. Then I took my daughter to see the Blues lose to the LA Kings at the same time the LA Dodgers were knocking the Cards out of the playoffs just blocks away.

Sunday I hung out at a local coffee shop with my wife and daughter and had beignets.

In a funny sort of way, it's almost like Microsoft knows we will all have the red ring and price arcades cheap enough for us to buy them quick. It's like Drugs man.

You know part of me is tempted to try Demon's Souls but man..REALLY hard games like that have a way of making me go insane.

The tax write off was the main reason I went ahead with the Elite.

I'm ticked mine died but then again I've had it since launch so I knew it was only a matter of time. I had dodged that bullet for far too long.

On another note -- FIFA 10 is great.

I acquired a time machine to take me back to the 1980's....well, I bought tickets to see Simple Minds supported by OMD, which is pretty much the same as for this Brit :)
